Debra is a fully qualified practitioner of Rebirthing having studied with one of the founder members Sondra Ray.
What is Rebirthing?
Rebirthing is a simple, gentle yet powerful conscious breathing technique. The breath acts as a bridge between the conscious and unconscious, between the mind and the body. You can control your breathing consciously by, for example, pranayama breathing exercise, but if you don’t think about your breathing for a whole day, you still are breathing.
Rebirthing works on the principle that there is a direct connection between mental and physical wellbeing and the openness of the breathing. Relaxing and releasing the breath dissolves tension as it loosens up the stored blockages held in your four body energy system – Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual.
Session One
The first session I will be taking all the details of your life history and what it is that you wish to clear. This session last approximately 50 minutes.
Session Two
You will be taught and begin the conscious breathing technique whilst lying down. The breath acts as a conscious link to your unconscious mind. After a time subconscious memory will materialise. This may be through a feeling or sensation in your body, or a memory. And as this happens, we will work though each resurfacing feeling, sensation and memory.
My very first experience of Rebirthing was with Sondra Ray in 1984. I recounted my birth trauma. Through the releasing of this highly traumatic experience, I felt for the very first time in my life completely free. To say this experience changed my life, is an under statement. I will always be externally grateful to Sondra. I also had my birth trauma validated by my mother, so everything I saw and experienced was confirmed.
Safety
This method of breathing is completely safe. What surfaces may be challenging for you, but it is never more than can be safely integrated. The breathing session lasts approximately One and a half hours, but I always allow two hours. You will feel refreshed, calm and renewed after this experience.
Who needs this?
People who repeat negative patterns of behaviour in relationships. Have feelings of being trapped. Not knowing who you really are, or what you want. Not living up to your true potential.
